KITAS CLOSURE (EPO / TSP)

Leaving Indonesia does not always mean that your KITAS is automatically closed.

If your KITAS remains active in the Indonesian Immigration system, you may experience difficulties when applying for a new visa or another KITAS in the future.

Official closure confirms that you no longer use your previous stay permit and have completed the related immigration process.

It is especially important to close an Investor KITAS. Official closure is mandatory for this category.

The required procedure depends on whether you are currently in Indonesia.

EPO (Exit Permit Only)

EPO is used to officially close a KITAS before leaving Indonesia.

After receiving an EPO:

• your current KITAS is officially closed;
• you must leave Indonesia within 7 days;
• after leaving, you can apply for a new visa for your next entry into Indonesia.

TSP (Termination of Stay Permit)

TSP is used if you have already left Indonesia without closing your KITAS.

The procedure is completed after your departure. TSP usually takes longer than EPO and requires proof that you have left Indonesia.

1. You tell our manager when you left Indonesia and which type of KITAS you had.
2. You send the required documents and proof of your most recent departure.
3. We check your immigration status and confirm the required documents.
4. We submit the application to terminate your stay permit.
5. Once the process is complete, we confirm that your KITAS has been officially closed.

TSP takes longer than EPO. The exact processing time depends on your KITAS type, documents, and individual circumstances.

EPO processing takes at least 7 business days after your documents have been checked.

We recommend contacting our manager in advance. The application date must be coordinated with your departure date because you must leave Indonesia within 7 days after receiving the EPO.

Do not wait until the last few days before your flight to close your KITAS.

The following documents are usually required:

• a copy of your passport;
• your KITAS and ITAS;
• a selfie;
• a boarding pass or flight ticket in PDF format confirming your most recent departure from Indonesia.

Additional documents may be required in some cases.

• a selfie taken against a light background;
• a flight ticket with proof of payment;
• your most recent entry stamp for Indonesia.

Investor KITAS holders may also need to provide company documents.

In some cases, an expired KITAS may close automatically after you enter Indonesia again using a VOA.

However, this does not apply to every KITAS category. An Investor KITAS must be officially closed.

We do not recommend relying on automatic closure without checking your situation first. Send your documents to our manager, and we will tell you whether you need an EPO or TSP.

The price of KITAS closure is calculated individually and depends on:

• your KITAS type;
• the basis on which it was issued;
• whether you are still in Indonesia or have already left;
• the specific circumstances of your immigration case.
